Empty contents of the packet into a glass or ceramic bowl
Add 1 cup (8 oz) of boiling water to it.
Mix well.
Cover and let sit for 5 minutes.
Heat a frying pan on high flame.
Add 2 tablespoons of cooking oil and let it heat for 30 seconds.
Add marinated chicken and sautè on high flame for 3-4 minutes or till it’s done.
Turn the stove off when done.
Add 1 lb pan-fried cubed chicken to the sauce.
Mix well.
Empty butter chicken masala into a serving dish.
Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro.
Serve with rice/roti/naan.
